Hi, We are Dale,Debbie and Jimmy and we invite you to come enjoy a truly memorable and relaxing mountain cabin getaway in our one and two bedroom cabins in the rural setting of the Lower Blue River Valley, at the south end of the Green Mountain Reservoir in Summit County, in the Central Rocky Mountains.
Our location is ideal for a small, memorable family reunion, a fun family vacation or a quiet, relaxing getaway for two.
The area remains today much the same as it was over 50 years ago, with a beautiful hay meadow and grazing cattle on the neighboring ranch. It is not uncommon to see, in the early morning and late afternoon hours, the elk and deer grazing in the meadow.
At only 8000 ft above sea level and nestled between two spectacular mountain ranges, the Gore and the Williams Peak Ranges, in the Lower Blue River Valley, the Green Mountain Reservoir and the Cataract Lake & Falls area is one of Colorado's best kept secrets.
The area offers a unique change of scene and pace from all the big ski resorts only 25-40 minutes down the road - Keystone, Breckenridge, Arapahoe Basin, Loveland and Copper Mountain.
Fishing the Gold Medal Trout waters of the Lower Blue River, at the inlet to the reservoir, is only 100 yards from your door.
Launching your boat at the McDonald Flats boat ramp is about 1/2 mile away.
Dale can direct you towards the "good" fishing spots or let him take you fishing - MLC Fishing Service - on our 18' pontoon boat.
Green Mountain Reservoir offers a wide variety of water sports: fishing, boating, water skiing, jet skiing, sailing, and windsurfing can all be enjoyed.
Hunting elk and deer in White River National Forest is the some of the best in the state - hunting units 28, 37 and 371.
